Therapy dogs significantly enhance emotional and psychological well-being among students, creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages learning and social interaction.
The presence of therapy dogs can play a significant role in easing the transition for students facing challenges, whether they’re experiencing stress from academics, social dynamics, or mental health issues. Moreover, they help cultivate an atmosphere of compassion and understanding. In many cases, schools report improved attendance rates and reduced disciplinary actions when therapy dogs are involved, showcasing their valuable role in the educational landscape.
Therapeutic Dog Services Incorporated is extremely proud of our teams – on this occasion we would like to acknowledge Jackie and Jax. They have been providing visits to Madison Primary School last year.
Jackie and Jax's were recently awarded the Wright Volunteer Award presented by The Hon. Blair Boyer MP for the outstanding work they have been doing and contributing to the school. Thank you, Jackie, and Jax for your tireless efforts in helping to make the children's day.
