Contractors
Short-term workers for short-term projects
We don't hire a permanent employee for every role. We need someone with specific skills for short-term projects.
What is a contractor
Contractors are not part of a permanent workforce. They are not employees. They are one-person businesses that work for organisations for a short period of time. Whether it's for a couple of weeks or a few months, hiring a contractor helps our business to grow in a more flexible way.
However, contractors aren't suitable for every role.
What defines a contractor?
A contractor is someone who works on a short-term basis, usually on a project.
Contractors are sometimes referred to as freelance workers or consultants.
The most important thing to remember is that a contractor is not an employee. Contractors are independent businesses working for us on our premises or representing Therapeutic Dog Services within a specific role within the community.
