Since the year 2001 we have been delivering Dog Assisted Intervention (AAI), Dog Assisted Activities (AAA), Dog Assisted Education (AAE) and Dog Assisted Therapy (AAT).
Providing a wide range of dog assisted programs to thousands of adults and children each year, including forming mutually beneficial, complementary therapy programs, partnering with Service Providers within South Australia. Each facility type addresses the needs of a different section of the community. The animals skills are often matched to the type of facility and the needs of the clients.
The variety of facilities showcases the broad skill range of the Dog Assisted Intervention Programs. Visits include the following types of facilities: (Aged care, Community House, Disability Services, Hospital & Rehabilitation, Hospice Facility, Mental Health, Forensics, School, and Community) including privately delivered services from the Animal Assisted Interventions Training and Wellness Centre, initiative of Therapeutic Dog Services located in the Adelaide Hills, Adelaide Central Findon, Fulham and Seaton.
We are committed to the care and welfare of animals, human inclusion, and respect the rights of all animals and people, in all their diversity, to live with dignity and safety and to enjoy healthy relationships.
