BOARD OPPORTUNITIES

Do you feel passionate about the healing power of animals? Would you like to become involved in our mission of "Making a difference", Your help and guidance will only help us to continue our programs and services and raise further funds toward your favourite cause. ​ Professional Development Service on a Board of Directors can provide and fine-tune invaluable professional development skills that can advance your professional career, such as public speaking, networking and leadership experience. It also provides exposure to other disciplines that you may not encounter in your day job, such as financial reporting, strategic planning, or market analyses, to name a few. Business Development Working on boards gives executives unique access to business leaders across the region and provides the opportunity to demonstrate professional value through meaningful participation in board meetings. As a result, you might secure several new business leads and/or networking opportunities that will help further your current career.

COMMITTEE OPPORTUNITIES

Serving on committee furthers your professional development by providing leadership experience, expanding your professional network, and strengthening your ties within the specialty. What's more, committee members are directly involved in identifying new opportunities, guiding projects, and offering their expertise, so you will have a direct hand in helping us achieve our goals and advance our mission.

Join a Committee The following committees are looking for helping hands. If you are interested in serving on one of the committees below, please send an email describing your interest to Email: therapydogs@tdsinc.com.au Philanthropy/Fundraising The Philanthropy Committee is responsible for providing feedback, support, and execution of financial development plans to raise the appropriate amount of money to support the organisation’s service delivery programs. The financial development plans include but are not limited to: major gifts, special events, grant writing, direct mail and marketing, and in-kind donations. ​ Volunteer Appreciation This committee’s primary focus is on the planning and implementation of the Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event in May. Additionally, this committee provides support to our Volunteer Coordinator including ensuring prospective volunteers are welcomed and current volunteers are engaged. ​ Finance This Finance Committee provides financial oversight for the organisations. Tasks include budgeting, financial planning, financial reporting, and the creation and monitoring of internal controls and accountability policies. ​ Design, Marketing & PR Use your design, marketing, and/or PR talents to help Therapeutic Dog Services Incorporated. This committee is responsible for writing website and newsletter content, designing promotional materials, and updating our website and social media. Volunteers with PR experience help spread the message about Therapeutic Dog Services work through press releases, social media, and outreach event promotion. We are currently looking for volunteers with experience in website management and IT support. ​ Program Program Committee members are responsible for identifying program need and capacity, planning for resource allocation and use, assuring service delivery, preparing to respond to critical events, and program evaluation
