Dog Assisted Therapy Program


Dog assisted therapy involves specific therapeutic goals, strategies and outcomes measures. Therapeutic experiences can include walking, brushing, petting and caring for an animal, as well as processing the experience of trying to achieve a given task.


Dog Assisted Therapy Program is a unique initiative program that involves specific therapeutic goals, strategies and outcome measures.

Mission: to promote and facilitate positive interaction therapy between people and dogs. Animal Assisted Therapy is directed and/or delivered with a specific clinical goal for an individual or group in mind.


  • Animal Assisted Therapy offers very unique therapy programs to adults and children: recovery and rehabilitation programs.

  • Programs are designed to help client engage, improving self-confidence, social skills, physical skills, and emotional responses etc.

  • Therapy is delivered 1:1 or within group settings.

Therapeutic Dog Services qualified human health services staff work closely with other specialists such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Teachers, Social Workers, Doctors and specialists forming a multi disciplined team to deliver specifically designed clinical programs.
