Foster Carer

Would you like to become a foster carer?

We have animals - dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, equines, livestock that are surrendered to us on a regular basis, they may not be suitable for animal assisted intervention programs or training for varying reasons.


As a foster carer you can help us and help these animals out by providing much needed temporary homes, providing them with love and support before becoming available for adoption.

Becoming a foster carer is an incredibly rewarding experience. As a foster carer, you will have 24/7 support from our team.

Who is eligible to join the foster care team?


  • You are aged 18 years or older.

  • have lots of love to give, dedicated to commitment and care to animal/s

  • Can provide a safe and secure environment for animal/s

  • Have home and contents insurance.

  • If renting, you have sought permission from your landlord.

  • Have reliable transport and vehicle insurance.

  • attend veterinary appointments as required.

  • attend foster care training sessions as required.

  • Follow all TDSINC South Australia policies and guidelines.
