In the Beginning

  • Cozie is an italian greyhound, turning 14 in 2015.

  • Cozie has been with us since he was a 6 week old pup.

  • Cozie has a gentle temperament, and enjoys the company of people and loves nothing better than sitting or sharing his time on someones lap.

  • Cozie enjoys a retired life these days, due to his age. Caravaning around australia with his owners.

  • He still works occassionally and regularly spends a social day with his pack buddies.

About Cosie
  • Is comical, entertaining, and brimming with personality.

  • Cozie is a high energy dog, he loves to be patted, and loves finding a lap to share his time and keep you company.

  • works fabulously with other dogs in the therapy dog pack, and when he crosses a strange dog for the first time out in the community, he loves to greet and meet them and shows good manners.

  • is a very friendly dog, however in some circumstances he may distance himself until he knows he is welcomed.

  • Due to Cozmos breed (Italian Greyhound) it has been very important on how we raised him as this determines how he turns out.  Exposure experience training has been an extremely important process for him.

  • Cozie enjoys the company of the pack, as he spends most of his time as a family one dog owned . He loves going from his tranquil family existance to just being able to be a dog in a pack, they keep each other company , they play together, and keep each other entertained.

  • When Cozie is not working you will find him entertaining himself, travelling around australia with his family members, and when with the pack, playing chasing games and ball games between them all, on his down time you can find him seeking out the warmest spot that being under covers, or the only sun spot beeming through the glass.

About The Poodle

  • Poodles are highly trainable dogs that rarely need to be told what to do more than a few times, a keen working intelligence that makes the dog easy to command

  • a warm and personable disposition with a jolly sense of humor.

  • Standard Poodles are the most highly recommended for families with children.

  • They have a kindly demeanor and a love of playing games;

  • Classified as highly energetic, poodles can also get bored fairly easily, and have been known to get creative about finding mischief: they require walks, toys, and games of fetch regularly to remain happy, they thoroughly love their work as therapy dogs because they have something to do with their day and a purpose.

  • Poodles are often cited as a hypoallergenic dog breed. Unlike most dogs that have double coats, poodles have a single layer coat (no undercoat is present) composed of the dense, tightly curled coat which slows the loss of dead hair by trapping it in the curls. Frequently brushed and bathed this removes hair, but also controls the other potent allergen, saliva.  Our poodles are groomed every day and every 6 to 8 weeks professional groomer in which gets rid of the build-up of hair. They could be considered as hypoallergenic (though not completely allergen-free). The poodle does shed in minimal amounts, but instead of the fur coming off the dog, it becomes tangled in the surrounding hair, but are not as likely to trigger allergies as much as many other breeds.
