Pet Therapy Program
Our Pet Therapy Program could not operate without dedicated volunteers – they are our backbone and primary source of support. Without the extra set of hands to help clients participate, the communication between animal and leader, the constant care of our animals and their home, and the partnerships in our community, it would be nearly impossible to serve our clients!

Short-term workers for short-term projects
We don't hire a permanent employee for every role. We need someone with specific skills for short-term projects.
What is a contractor
Contractors are not part of a permanent workforce. They are not employees. They are one-person businesses who work for organisations for a short period of time. Whether it's for a couple of weeks or a few months, hiring a contractor helps our business to grow in a more flexible way.
However contractors aren't suitable for every role.
What defines a contractor?
A contractor is someone who works on a short-term basis, usually on a project.
Contractors are sometimes referred to as freelance workers or consultants.
The most important thing to remember is that a contractor is not an employee. Contractors are independent businesses working for us on our premises or representing Therapeutic Dog Services within a specific role within the community.
